Pakistani Reception Dresses

The walima is usually the bride's last function, and often the one photographed in daylight or soft evening light, so colour and movement matter as much as embellishment.

Gown or lehenga?

An open-front gown over a lehenga gives a long line and moves easily. Jhoomar in misty blue (with a train), Laila in mint green and Roshni in mauve lilac are made this way. A lehenga choli gives more volume: Diyar in blush pink and Dilnashin in champagne gold suit a reception as well as a barat or nikkah.

For sisters and bridesmaids

The Amarige net lehengas, such as Golden Patel, Lyric and Black Musk, are lighter than the bridal pieces and come in colours that sit well beside the bride.

Colour after a red barat

Ice blue, mint, lilac and champagne are the usual walima shades. Deeper colours such as black and magenta suit an evening reception, especially for the bride's family.

Which pieces are bridal and which are formals?

The Vyah Diyan Tyaariyan gowns and lehengas are bridal pieces and take 10 to 12 weeks including delivery. The Amarige lehengas and other formals take less time; each product page shows its own making time.

Can these be made to my measurements?

Yes. Pieces are made to order in our Lahore atelier, and most designs can be made to your own measurements.

Do you ship outside Pakistan?

Yes, free and tracked by DHL. Import duty, where it applies, is paid by the customer.
