Red Pakistani Mehndi Dress — Bridal, Barat & Formal Lehenga Choli in Korean Raw Silk
Mastani is a luxurious Red Pakistani Mehndi Dress by Waqas Shah — a Bridal, Barat and Formal Lehenga Choli inspired by heritage craftsmanship and elevated with a contemporary couture aesthetic. The Korean Raw Silk choli has a scooped neckline at the front and back, hand-embellished with dabka, crystals and pearls along both necklines and along the hem where the choli ends. It is paired with a richly flared lehenga worked all over in traditional tilla and shimmering sequin embroidery, and a Pure Organza dupatta with a four-sided embroidered border and floral chatta detailing. Made to order in your custom size, Mastani is a striking choice for the bride at her mehndi, dholki and barat, and just as beautiful for the bride's sisters, bridesmaids, cousins and friends at any wedding celebration.
How to Style Mastani
Red is the traditional barat palette and carries real depth under evening light, while the tilla work keeps it warm in daylight for a mehndi. Pair it with polki or kundan jewellery for a classical bridal look, or with gold and uncut stones for a softer contrast. Sweep the hair back so the scooped neckline and the dabka and pearl work stay in view.
Mastani — Quick Answers
Is Mastani a barat lehenga or a mehndi lehenga?
Both. Red is the traditional barat colour, so brides wear it for the barat with heavy polki and the dupatta over the head; with lighter gold and flowers it becomes a bold mehndi or dholki look. See more Pakistani Wedding Dresses.
Is a red lehenga unusual at a mehndi?
It is a confident, modern choice. Most guests wear yellow, green and orange, so a red lehenga with gold tilla instantly stands out in photographs while still feeling festive.
Can I wear Mastani for a jaago or sangeet as well?
Yes. Its red-and-gold palette and floral chatta suit the lively pre-wedding nights too, so Pakistani, Indian and Punjabi Sikh families pick it for the jaago, the sangeet or the mehndi. Worn with the dupatta on one shoulder, it moves easily through bhangra and dhol.
What is the floral chatta on the dupatta?
Chatta is a scattered floral motif embroidered across the organza, inside a four-sided embroidered border. It gives the dupatta texture when draped over the head for the barat or floated behind you for an entrance.
How is the choli finished?
The Korean Raw Silk choli has a scooped neckline at the front and back, each hand-embellished with dabka, crystals and pearls, with the same handwork along the hem. The flared lehenga is covered in traditional tilla and sequin embroidery.
Will it suit the bride's sisters?
Yes, especially when the bride wears a different colour. Sisters, cousins and bridesmaids wear it as a rich formal lehenga at the mehndi and dholki. Browse more Pakistani Mehndi Dresses.
How much is the Mastani red lehenga?
Rs.95,500.00 for the choli, lehenga and chatta dupatta, in any size from XXS to XL or made to measure. Shipping is free and tracked worldwide. Prices appear in your currency; checkout is in Pakistani rupees (PKR).
When should I order for my barat date?
It takes about 4 weeks to make in our Lahore atelier, then 2 to 5 days to arrive in Pakistan or 7 to 14 days to the UK, USA, Canada, Europe, UAE and beyond, free and tracked. Share your wedding date with us on WhatsApp before ordering.
Can it be stitched to my measurements?
Yes. Pick XXS to XL from the size chart, or choose Customize and send us your measurements.
