Shahrbanu is a luxurious Emerald Green Pakistani Mehndi Dress by Waqas Shah — a Bridal and Formal Lehenga Choli inspired by timeless heritage craftsmanship and contemporary couture elegance. The Pure Raw Silk choli has a wide square neckline hand-embellished with zardozi, crystals and mirror work. It is paired with a Pure Raw Silk lehenga worked in a flowing floral pattern of thread, golden tilla and sequin embroidery with mirror work throughout, and a Pure Organza dupatta finished with a four-sided embroidered border. How to Style Shahrbanu
Emerald green is a classic mehndi palette and comes alive in daylight and marigold settings. For the bride, pair it with polki or kundan jewellery to carry the tilla work through; for a lighter mayoun look, keep to gold and fresh florals. Sweep the hair back so the wide square neckline and its mirror and zardozi work stay in view. For an Indian mehendi or sangeet, add a maang tikka and stacked gold bangles to echo the tilla.

What makes the square neckline special?
It is cut wide and straight across, which leaves room for a choker or a layered polki set, and the hand embroidery along its edge mixes zardozi, small crystals and mirrors. Because the neckline is the focal point, we suggest sweeping the hair back to keep it on show.
Is Shahrbanu suitable for a roka, chunni ceremony or engagement?
Yes. Emerald green carries beautifully into the functions held before the wedding in Pakistani, Punjabi Sikh and Indian Hindu families, from the roka and the chunni or shagun ceremony to the engagement itself, and it stays elegant enough to wear again as a guest.
Is it made in raw silk?
Yes. Both the choli and lehenga are Pure Raw Silk, a firm fabric that keeps the skirt's wide flare through a long night of dancing. On the lehenga, flowers in golden tilla, thread and sequins are scattered with small mirrors.

It is Pure Organza with an embroidered border on all four sides, so it frames the face beautifully when worn over the head for the mayoun or mehndi rasm. It is included with the choli and lehenga.

How should I store Shahrbanu after the event?
Dry clean only. Fold the lehenga with tissue paper over the mirror and tilla work so the mirrors do not scratch each other, wrap the set in a soft cotton cloth, and keep it somewhere dry and out of direct sun. Steam the organza dupatta on a low setting, away from its embroidered border.

Yes. Every outfit is made to order, and you can choose a standard size from XXS to XL or select "Customize" to have it made to your exact measurements. On selected designs we can also discuss colour, embroidery and fabric adjustments while keeping the original design identity.

Pieces from our Ready to Ship collection are dispatched sooner. If you have a wedding or event date, please contact us before ordering so we can confirm the timeline.
Yes, and shipping is free on every order — worldwide and inside Pakistan alike. There is no delivery charge at checkout and no minimum order value. Parcels leave our Lahore studio with DHL and SkyNet, fully trackable. Once your piece is made, delivery takes 2 to 5 days within Pakistan and 4 to 11 days to the UK, USA, Canada, Europe, UAE and beyond.
Import duty and local taxes are payable by you on arrival and differ by country. We keep a separate guide for the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, the UAE and Europe.
Depending on the design, we work with premium net, organza, raw silk, velvet, chiffon and other couture-quality fabrics. Our work combines hand embroidery and embellishment such as dabka, naqshi, zardozi, pearls and crystals with fine machine embroidery in tilla, aari, resham and sequins, and every piece is quality-checked before it leaves our atelier.
Most of our outfits are made to order, so we do not offer returns, exchanges or refunds for change of mind. If you receive a defective or incorrect item, please report it within 5 days of delivery with clear photos, and we will put it right with a repair, an exchange, store credit, or a partial or full remake.
