About Jhoomar — Fabric, Handwork & Fit

An Ice Blue Bridal Maxi with a Long Train for Walima & Reception

Jhoomar is an ice blue bridal maxi gown by Waqas Shah in net, embellished entirely by hand. Across the gown, inner blouse and dupatta, dabka, naqshi, kora, resham silk thread and aari work trace floral vines, paisleys and arched motifs, set with seed beads, cut-dana, crystal beads, Swarovski crystals and glitter sequins, and finished at every edge with fine piping. A slim pearl halter frames a plunging V neckline, the inner blouse is cut with a diamond-shaped keyhole at the midriff, and rows of pearls line the open front of the gown from neckline to floor. The sheer sleeves end in wide crystal cuffs, the back scoops low, and the embroidery softens below the waist into a sweeping ice blue train. A sequinned lehenga and a net dupatta with a heavy embellished border complete the set. Made to order in our Lahore atelier and shipped to Pakistan, India, the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, the UAE and Europe.

Who Is Jhoomar For?

Jhoomar is for the bride who wants her walima or reception to feel cool, calm and regal rather than heavy and bright. Its silver handwork glows under chandeliers and soft stage lights, and the long train makes every entrance and photograph count. It suits winter walimas, evening receptions and grand engagements, at Pakistani and Indian weddings alike, Muslim, Sikh or Hindu.

How to Style Jhoomar

The pearl halter and plunging V do the work of a necklace, so skip the choker: choose long diamond or polki drop earrings, a slim bracelet over the jewelled cuffs, and a single statement ring. Wear your hair sleek or in a low bun to keep the halter on show, drape the dupatta over one arm, and let the train spread fully behind you on stage. A silver-taupe eye, rose-nude lips and silver heels finish the look.

Jhoomar — Quick Answers

What colour is Jhoomar?

An ice blue with a soft misty grey tone, worked entirely in silver. It looks cool and luminous in evening light.

Which functions is it for?

Walima and reception first, then engagement, nikkah and formal wedding evenings.

Is Jhoomar suitable for Indian and Sikh weddings?

Yes. Indian and Sikh brides wear Jhoomar for the reception, engagement or roka, ring ceremony and cocktail night, and for a sangeet entrance. For the anand karaj or pheras, most brides keep to a traditional red or pink lehenga, and Jhoomar becomes the evening look that follows.

What comes in the set?

An open-front gown, an inner blouse, a lehenga and a dupatta: four pieces.

What fabric is it?

Net, with a smooth ice blue train.

What handwork is used?

Dabka, naqshi, kora, resham silk thread and aari work all over the design, set with seed beads, cut-dana, crystal beads, Swarovski crystals and glitter sequins, with fine piping along the edges. The same work runs across the gown, the inner blouse and the dupatta.

What is the neckline like?

A slim pearl halter around the neck with a plunging V, and a diamond-shaped keyhole cutout on the inner blouse.

What are the sleeves like?

Full sheer net sleeves with embroidered florals, finished with wide cuffs of Swarovski and crystal beads.

What does the back look like?

A low scoop back, with the embroidery fading below the waist into a long, sweeping ice blue train.

How is the dupatta finished?

Soft net worked in the same dabka, naqshi, resham and aari florals, with a heavy embellished border and piped edges.

What sizes are available?

Jhoomar is made to measure. Choose Customize and send your measurements, and our team will confirm the fit on WhatsApp.

What does Jhoomar cost?

Rs.850,000.00 for the complete four-piece set, with free tracked shipping worldwide. Prices show in your local currency; checkout is in Pakistani rupees (PKR).

How long does it take?

10 to 12 weeks in total for this heavy bridal, delivery included. If your wedding is sooner, message us on WhatsApp before ordering.

Can I order Jhoomar from abroad?

Yes. Brides in India, the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, the UAE and Europe order Jhoomar online, made to measure, with free tracked shipping.
