Yellow Raw Silk Pakistani Mehndi & Mayoun Lehenga Choli — Bridal & Formal Wear for Dholki, Qawali Night, Shendi and Weddings
Resham is a sunlit yellow Pakistani mehndi lehenga choli by Waqas Shah, cut in Korean raw silk and worked from neckline to hem in golden tilla and aari embroidery. The fitted choli is finished by hand: beads, stones, pearls, Swarovski crystals, naqshi and pure gotta chatta patti trace the front neckline, the back neckline and both front and back hems, while a sequinned border edges each sleeve. Below it, the lehenga carries lines of hand-set mirrors on the front and the back, golden sequins and thread work across the panels, an embroidered waist belt and a wide border at the hem. A pure organza dupatta, bordered on all four sides and threaded with lines of tilla, aari and sequin work, ends in a pure tanba (copper) kiran.

How to Style Resham
Yellow and gold were made for each other, so let kundan or polki carry the warmth of the tilla: a layered choker, jhumkas and a statement jhoomar or matha patti. Which parts are embellished by hand?

On the choli, the front and back necklines and the front and back hems are hand-embellished with beads, stones, pearls, Swarovski crystals, naqshi and pure gotta chatta patti. On the lehenga, the mirrors are set by hand. The tilla, aari and sequin work on the choli, lehenga and dupatta is fine machine embroidery.
What fabric is it, and is it heavy?

The choli and lehenga are Korean raw silk, which holds the flare and the embroidery beautifully, and the dupatta is pure organza, so it stays airy over the head or shoulders. It is comfortable enough for a long night of dancing at the dholki.

Yes. Every outfit is made to order, and you can choose a standard size from XXS to XL or select "Customize" to have it made to your exact measurements. On selected designs we can also discuss colour, embroidery and fabric adjustments while keeping the original design identity.
Because each piece is handcrafted after your order is confirmed, the production time is shown on every product page under Delivery Time. Pieces from our Ready to Ship collection are dispatched sooner. If you have a wedding or event date, please contact us before ordering so we can confirm the timeline.
Yes, and shipping is free on every order — worldwide and inside Pakistan alike. There is no delivery charge at checkout and no minimum order value. Parcels leave our Lahore studio with DHL and SkyNet, fully trackable, and take 7 to 14 days once your piece is made.
Import duty and local taxes are payable by you on arrival and differ by country. We keep a separate guide for the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, the UAE and Europe.
Depending on the design, we work with premium net, organza, raw silk, velvet, chiffon and other couture-quality fabrics. Our work combines hand embroidery and embellishment such as dabka, naqshi, zardozi, pearls and crystals with fine machine embroidery in tilla, aari, resham and sequins, and every piece is quality-checked before it leaves our atelier.
Most of our outfits are made to order, so we do not offer returns, exchanges or refunds for change of mind. If you receive a defective or incorrect item, please report it within 5 days of delivery with clear photos, and we will put it right with a repair, an exchange, store credit, or a partial or full remake.
